This was definitely a thing on the S9! I think it was because of the proximity sensor on the S9 and earlier models. I remember covering the sensor and the AOD would turn off. I wish the s21 had this function, but to my knowing, it does not.

Awesome thanks for sharing! I use Nova so at first Home Up was not applying any changes, but I found that if you set One UI Home as the default look launcher, make your changes in Home Up, then go back to Nova the changes stick! Just an FYI for others that are still using a different launcher.
