Call Drops & Network Signal Problem in Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 !!

That's what I did here and it worked. The phone supports LTE (4G), and that's the default setting. But, a) I don't have a 4G plan, and b) here in Brazil 4G coverage is still very low. I changed my settings to GSM/WCDMA Auto-Select (i.e. 2G or 3G, whatever is available),and it works fine ever since.

    Love being naked

I've always used cases and screen protectors. The advantage is that after a year or so the phone looks brand new and is easy to sell. Sent from my GT-I9505 using AC Forums mobile app

Anti Virus Application for the S4

I use Avast! since my Galaxy Ace. It's free and great. Can track and send commands to the phone from their website or via SMS. Sent from my GT-I9505 using AC Forums mobile app

    Backup

I also recommend Helium (formerly Carbon). Perfect for non rooted devices. I used Titanium on my other rooted devices but don't plan/need to root my S4. There's the initial small hassle for non rooted devices of running the desktop app, and having to do it again whenever the phone is turned...

is it just me or does the voice recognition SUCK!!

I find the opposite here. I find it has to do a lot with the quality of the network connection. 2G or 3G, poor. Wi-Fi, OK. Sent from my GT-I9505 using AC Forums mobile app

    Otterbox Defender

I have one, and I'm really pleased with it. Yes, the buttons are Sometimes a bit stiff but I think they're improving with time. Still, this type of protection will have this drawback. Cases that don't cover the buttons won't protect them. An idea is to check the alignment of the bits inside...

Proximity Sensor during calls does not work!

Get application AndroSensor, by Fiv Asim. Check if values of proximity sensor change as you move your hand close to the sensor. Check light sensor as well. Whatever the result is, try and remember about any app you installed recently and remove them, and reboot the phone. No luck? Next try...

    phone contacts

Three options I can offer: 1. Export them to a vCard file, and then import them in your Google account. 2. Just use a google account to sync them. 3. Use a service like Memotoo.com. Sent from my GT-I9505 using AC Forums mobile app

Issues with S4 browser and network communication & touch wizard not working

Settings, Connections, More Networks, Mobile Networks, Data Connection There you have some options. LTE = 4G WCDMA = 3G GSM = 2G Try anything except LTE. I use WCDMA/GSM for it to use 2G or 3G, whatever is available. This is your best try. To save battery when not browsing internet I leave...

Brand new Galaxy S4 "broken" for no reason.

BR is for Brazil. While lots of things can be cheaper, many others aren't. Cell phones and services, cars, and electronics in general are pretty expensive. Too many taxes, basically. Sent from my GT-I9505 using AC Forums mobile app

Calendar, Contacts, etc. transfer from iPhone to Galaxy Note 2

Many ways. I've been using www.memotoo.com since my Palm. You can also export from iCloud to vCard file and then import in to Gmail, and then they'll be updated on your phone. Sent from my GT-I9505 using AC Forums mobile app

    Google Services battery drain

I had Google Now, and the same problem. But Google Now wasn't really good for me: couldn't change the route, would never remind me when I needed, and used lots of battery. Disabled it, and use S-Voice occasionally. I found that Google Framework, Maps, and others cause more battery use. I...
