I reinstalled Chrome and that solved the problem. Thank you all for your help !

As explained I did find it in Play Store - as shown in the first image below. When clicking that I got screen shown on the second image ---------------------------------------------

There's an ongoing problem (mentioned in other sub forums) with apps opening then immediately closing. The solution from Google is to update or reinstall Android System Webviewer This app does not appear in my list of apps and when I locate it in the Play Store there is no install option.

Problem solved, I found the option in the main settings section. Thanks for the lead though.

Oh I now realise that the thing I am after is called the app drawer. Thanks. But I see no mention of it on the settings screen.

Yes I can get to the Settings option for the home page

I experimented with simple mode for the home screen but decided to revert back. Now ALL my apps are showing on the home screen. I would like to get back to the situation where they were all in one folder.

How do you add or remove items on the screen ? I managed once somehow to get an Add option to appear but cannot reproduce the steps that achieved this. There is an Edit type symbol at the top left of the screen but clicking on it makes it turn into an X and all the items are marked with X. The...
