Alarm clocks with selectable snooze time

This is the one I use, and can select a snooze amount from 0 to 60 minutes in one minute increments. I also like it because I can use more than just a button to dismiss an alarm. I personally have it set to do a math problem, and I think you can require reading a UPC with the phone camera to...

    Question Possible corrupted photos

If it's an old card, it could be getting worn out. Especially if it's had a lot of files saved and then deleted from it. SD cards are a write once/read many type storage medium. Excessive writing and deleting can wear them out quicker.

Question Copy Large (1.7GB) Video to Pixel 7 Pro

If you have a Wi-Fi router as part of your network, Quick Share can still work. My PC is connected to an ethernet switch, which my Wi-Fi router is also plugged into, and it allows me to use Quick Share just fine. The only hiccup I have is it isn't compatible with Samsung phones and the Samsung...

Question Copy Large (1.7GB) Video to Pixel 7 Pro

There are so many flavors of USB that even that cable isn't enough to go on to know what protocol you are using. USB is also best for bursty loads, like multiple smaller files. For larger single files, Wi-Fi can blow it away.

Question Copy Large (1.7GB) Video to Pixel 7 Pro

For something this large, I would use the Google Quick Share function. The PC will need a Bluetooth connection and download of the Quick Share Windows program, but transferring with it via Wi-Fi is going to be much faster than other connection options.

    Best keyboard app?

I'm using Gboard, but more because it's the least bad I've found. Swype was perfect for me, but it unfortunately stopped working after an OS update, even from my saved apk.

Question Password manager after moving to Pixel 10

I don't use Google's password manager. I wonder if it's a combination of a function difference between phones (even with the same Android version, different phone models can have different abilities) where the new one has more security features, and IP tracking where it sees each login as a...

Question Password manager after moving to Pixel 10

Captive portal login is the function that redirects you to a login window when connecting you to many public Wi-Fi hotspots. I know you said this keeps happening when logging into the same website with the box checked, but are you connecting to the same hotspot as well?

    Question Don't Pause

I happen to have a smartwatch to check notifications, so I started leaving my phone on vibrate. I did this mostly to be respectful of others and not bother them with notification sounds, but a side benefit is they stopped interrupting media playback. If you have a smartwatch, that's something to...

Question Cropping a photo for Wallpaper use?

Then I would go with Vidjunky's screenshot technique mentioned above. You'll be able to see everything in the pic, but the trade-off will be the black bars above and/or below it that that up the extra space. If you have the ability to retake the photo (understandable if you can't), you could...

    Simple 'DJ' app?

I have no experience with programming, but I did some searching and found this custom soundboard creator app in the Play store. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.increase.custom_soundboard It looks like it may do everything you need, including a random play function. If that...

    Simple 'DJ' app?

I think what you want is a soundboard app. Those are generally designed to more or less do what you want, but aimed at short sound bites. A short GOAL sound effect should be possible, but I'm not familiar enough with them to know if they could play full songs or handle a random function. I know...

Question Cropping a photo for Wallpaper use?

Maybe there's a misunderstanding somewhere. Making the image narrower necessarily means losing resolution. Do you mean you are trying to make it narrow without loosing what is in the picture? I.e. stretching?

Question Cropping a photo for Wallpaper use?

This is the app I use when I need quick and basic edits. It has the option to create and lock custom cropping aspect ratios. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.iudesk.android.photo.editor

Question Transferring file from Android to Windows

The USB cable is going to be the standard. If you have a non-Samsung phone, a Bluetooth adaptor on the computer, and Wi-Fi, you can use Google's quick share. You'll need their app from the Play store, plus their companion app on your computer. I've found this to be much faster at the actual...
