Too little and very too late, they should have announced that when they announced the recall...I've already jumped ship without any regrets. Will probably get back to Note 8.. but will probably wait a couple of months before buying one...

None so far, it even improved. Better battery life, brighter screen at the same brightness level. Just received the update yesterday so now I have the green battery icon. I'm really happy with my replacement.

Same with mine

My new one has a better battery than my old one, even compared to the first day of use for each. Mine has the same manufacturing date. I think Samsung knew about the batteries before the official recall so they started to manufacture units with the good batteries before it was public

Mine was a new one, no fingerprints or whatsoever.

Called back the exchange support, they said that they will contact me in 24 to 48 business hours to let know what to do next. And confirmed that I have to return the phone only. Anyway, got my new phone... Their loss if they don't find a way.

Carrier told me they won't take it since I did the exchange with Samsung directly, going through the loops again... Updating later...
