    for my situation, it appears how my S7 interacts with WPA2 on my router. My router is a Linksys WRT 1900 ACS.

    I turned off security and i get 90mbps on the S7 now. I was using WPA2 Personal.. I have a WRT 1900 ACS router that I bought about 2 weeks ago. Once again my S4 gets 90mbps with security on. My S7 gets 20Mbps with security on.

    I set up guest access for 5ghz on the same router. Now I'm getting 90Mbps. The only thing that I can think of is my galaxy s7 is the only device on the guest network and is not shared with other devices on the others. Go figure!!!

    My S4, the link speed is 433Mbps S7:866 Mbps the download speeds are still about 4 times on the S4.

    The question remains with the same router settings and phone settings, why is my old S4 four times faster then my S7? Unless there is some setting that are not consistent across the phones.

    I generally have Bluetooth off unless I use it to play music to Bluetooth speakers, etc. This problem exists with Bluetooth off.

    My router's firmware is the latest. Like I stated, S4 is about 4 times faster then the S7 on the same router 5ghz band. So it is not a router issue.
