yea I did all the usual things but I still miss messages. I would love it if my almost $1000 phone could atleast send and receive all of my messages

no I came from a note 5

I am having trouble sending and recieving sms and mms messages. sometimes I get the messages no problem and other times I get nothing and it is the same for sending or receiving. any ideas?

I got a defender case for mine right away but wouldn't it be nice if after you buy your almost $1000 phone you didn't have to turn around and spend $50 on a case that makes your beautiful thin phone thicker than you want. Why don't they focus on making these crazy expensive phones a little more...

well I decided to keep the note 8 and the pictures have been pretty good I guess. I'm happy enough with the pictures considering it is a cell phone and not a real camera.

ill play around with it a little before i drop it off, I just never had this problem with the n5, I always had nice photos without doing any prep first to get a good shot. I was hoping for an update but I also don't want to miss my 14 day return period because then I will be stuck with this thing.

my phone had the small blue popup for a few messages and then went back to the big popup and I cant figure out how to change it back, I am using the stock samsung messages app.

How do you get the note 8 to stop saving photos taken in the messages app to the gallery? I don't see any setting for that and I have never had this issue with any other samsung phone.

ok here is another one in good lighting, for the most part the pictures look ok but as soon as there is any movement it blurs. I don't need professional dslr quality photos but when I take a picture I don't want blurry spots.

yes but this sports mode it is supposed to take motion pictures and Samsung bragged about dual ois in the cameras so I don't think it's the technique. Do I have to use a tripod to take pictures without blur then, this seems ridiculous.

This is my hand very slowly waving in front of the camera on sports mode, it looks worse than using the auto setting. I use the camera primarily to take pictures of my kids and pets, but if even the slightest movement causes blur on this phone that costs almost 1000 dollars that is not going to...

I have taken a few more shots just to see, seems like if there is any sort of movement in the photo that part is always blurry. Is there some setting I don't have correct that would cause this?
