Major reason to go with the Pixel: Buttery smooth goodness. Seriously this thing is so smooth.

I know it sucks -- but don't rely on Google to notify you -- sometimes their notifications go out minutes after it goes back out of stock (if at all). Best bet is to either check on Reddit ( https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePixel/ ) or periodically check the Google Store.

Sounds like a lot of compromises are being made. I wanted to spend a little more now to worry a lot less later. I sprung for the 128. Unlimited storage for pics is great but the data usage required would outweigh the benefits for me really fast. To each their own.
