To make it even easier you can tab on the icon in the red circle. Then it will bring you directly to the following screen without the menu choices.

You will need to on the "actual" phone number you want to add to you contact. No need to click on the "3 dots" Recents call log screen: Tab on the number (for example -6420) and you will see more menu choices under the number ending with -6420. Call - Message - Video call - Details...

AT&T Galaxy S8 running Oreo here. I have no app info with Samsung Stock launcher. But I do have app info with Nova Prime launcher. So it is not Oreo. In my case it is a Samsung launcher :D

Uh, I see. Just tab on the number you wish to create the contact. Then you should see the additional items like - call, Message, Video call and or detail. Tab on "detail" and at the bottom you should have "create contact" or "Update Existing" or even "Block Number".

Yeah, I think Oreo (Google) removed the bulk clear all cache. Now that I slowly recall reading about it somewhere. Either individually or 3rd party app if you need bulk clear.

Sorry :D I should have said "Cancel". Did you able to make Textra as your default app for text? Can you go to APPS > Default apps and able to click on Messaging app? This should give you choices of setting whatever text apps you installed on your phone and can select the one you want...
