I have a Galaxy Tab S 8.4. I love it. The screen is absolutely stunning. I had a Shield Tablet but I wasn't impressed with the build quality and it had lots of bugs after updating to Lollipop.

Yes. Updating via a computer will cause a factory reset. Updating via OTA will not.

CarrierIQ is still present. It's still turning on my GPS, although it seems like not as often.

The Theme app is definitely designed for Sense 7. It doesn't really work all that well with Sense 6.

I'm guessing it's due to the servers being hammered. I like the new look though, especially the app drawer.

I noticed the same thing happening on my M8 when I was charging it with my work laptop. I wasn't transferring any data as the laptop has a sleep and charge feature. Charging it on AC seems to work fine though.
