It was open the whole time, still a measly 5 GB file should not be problematic at all and it was not corrupted :) The only other instance i know about is a older case with windows 11 i had to format one of my USB drives to NTFS instead of FAT32 otherwise it didn't let me transfer a big image...

I've already uninstalled vlc and it wasn't the culprit. the System UI made one these screenshots of vlc today.

Never happens in safe mode. I'm checking all google related apps that might have camera permissions available and i do think that things like Google Play Movies & TV hidden function in settings called picture-in-picture might be a culprit so i uninstalled it. Ill keep updated.

I've checked permissions and VLC only has permissions for storage to use video files, Its mostly happening while watching a video on lock screen. I also use it a lot by listening to videos with the vlc lock screen active. (keeps me from being bored at work taking trash all day)
