Is this handoff dropping problem, mostly a function of the phone or the network? IOW, is Gnex the only phone that has this problem? Or does it have it worse than others?

So you went months before rooting it? What tipped the scales for you to do that? I hope to leave it plain vanilla but I'm wondering if some key fundamentals are only addressed by running an alternate ROM.

So you're saying your signal strength is good (how many bars?) and yet you still don't get good speeds? And have you tried other phones at this same location and how do they compare?

I should've changed "promise" to "hope", as in "False hope of quicker updates because it's pure Google" What I meant was that before it was released there was all this speculation that because it was pure Google with no Sense UI or whatever, that this phone would somehow get it's Android...

Come to think of it, I generally had the keyboard up when I was trying to rotate. Could be a linkage there. But still quite annoying for an otherwise pretty snappy phone.
