The Note 8 should be a workhorses not a fragile glass device competing with Apple for style. Replaceable battery, IF blaster, HDMI connectivity, improved S Note capabilities, unbreakable S pen, indestructible body, improved speakers, etc. I don't care if it's thicker or wider. I love my S8+...

Give me back my replaceable battery and I'll buy the newest Note. Guess that means I won't be buying a Note though I've had the 2 thru 5.

Bigger bezels so you have a location for your Post-It notes.

Sometimes--not always--it's wiser to buy Samsung. I certainly found that to be the case w/batteries (when they were removable).

Since the Note 5 I've gifted all my tablets and Kindle readers to family. Hardly used my Note 10.1. Did just purchase Galaxy Book 10 w/LTE. Quite satisfied as I use it in place of a laptop.

For me: S8 more comfortable to hold but S8+ a better phone. Cognitive dissonance. Now if they had just added an S pen capability. And, yes, I know that's apparently reserved for the Note.

I've always tried to purchase phones w/the most screen real estate. That's a big reason that I've favored the Note series. But even I must admit that the S8+ struck me initially as maybe too big. But I've adapted quite well.

The Apple 7+ is an outstanding phone but I've always been amused that the bottom bezel is capacious enough to hold Post-It notes.

Most gorgeous phone ever--far superior to comparable Apple models but the price is a nonremovable battery. I, personally, prefer the battery option.

When an Apple user posts to an Android phone using iMessage how often does the text fail to go through? I've never seen a satisfactory answer to this question.

Will always prefer my S8+ but Apple does have superior speakers.

Had all the Notes and my personal favorite was the 3. Had to move on because of newer features but will always have a soft spot for the Note 3.
