    You could try downloading the GApps for your Android version (4.4.x) and booting into your recovery mode to install them (Google how to do it for your device)

    Re: unfortunately, message has stopped Do you have a custom ROM? I recall this happening to me with Cyanogenmod. Try clearing the cache of your Messages application.

    What differentiate android from Window Phone?

    Android = Highly customisable, great look when stock, but can look awful when a manufacturer changes it. Easy to modify and hack Windows Phone + iPhone = Almost no customization, not very easy to modify and hack
