I had the same problem... It was a faulty usb cable... I had used a usb cable for my wife's LG phone and it didn't detect the phone. However, using another usb cable specifically for the fascinate did the trick.

I believe you can do it through the verizon wireless website... Just go online and log into the verizon wireless website, go to "my verizon". There should be a section called "calls and message blocking" under user controls.

You can try taking it back to a store... Most customer service reps are not tech savvy enough to either figure out what is wrong with the phone nor spend too much time delving into the issue... Just tell them you dropped the phone and that it stopped working and let them do the rest.

Try jorte calendar... I use it instead of the stock calendar and it syncs with no issues. It is also free.

I have a co-worker who is currently running froyo on his fascinate. He is on xda quite a bit and there is somebody working hard on a stable build. The build he has still has some shortcomings (no bluetooth support and glitches with phone calls) but it looks like froyo is just around the corner...

prior to flashing the new rom, I had made changes to the settings. after installing dj05, those settings have reset to default.

My wife has the dinc and I have the fascinate. She, being the typical wife, requires me to constantly troubleshoot her phone, so i've played with the dinc extensively. I personally prefer the fascinate to the dinc. Battery life is actually much better on my fascinate than on my wife's dinc...

since my original post back in october, my issues have been resolved. All it took was a root to get rid of the bloatware on my fascinate.

According to google's website, you need to be running 2.2 to rotate map.
