Lollipop is decent on the Nexus 4, not really great, so I think if Google hasn't explicitly mentioned an upcoming M update for the Nexus 7 odds are it's not coming. Either way, though, there will be a plethora of AOSP ROMs that can be flashed to get it anyway.

I have also found a pretty noticeable boost in performance between 5.1 and 6.0; I'm very happy with it, despite it being a developer preview.

Definitely, they were very careful in trying to balance performance and power consumption, and I think they made the right choice going with the 808.

Re: what's the max video file size can be handled by snapdragon 801 or one plus one ? I think the issue is just a combination of lack of available RAM, combined with the fact that the processor isn't fast enough to decode that video.

Welcome to Android Central! I'm new here myself. I was actually really excited about Windows Phone myself, but like you said, the direction that Microsoft is taking doesn't fit us at all. But I think that's just the only market left for them; Android and iOS have already captured the high end...

If I may talk about something that annoyed me rather than pleased me, it would be the app permissions things. It's going to be really annoying for developers like me, as apps can and will misbehave if they don't have the permissions they need...but I'm sure Google has already thought of that.
