How are you charging it? If you are charging it through a computer usb port, or if you have it plugged into a power bar, it might not be receiving a high enough voltage. Try plugging it into it's own wall outlet?

I do know that contacts can be stored on the SIM card but I honestly have no idea how to access them or clear them. Try doing a google search.

There is but that might not affect you. Have you ever seen your phone on 4G? Which network are you on? Finally, to check the settings, go into the Mobile Network/Data section of your phone and there should be options to use different frequency bands there.

How long has it been? Swapping roms usually take at least a week for the phone to settle in and re-process all the data as you use it. That might just be a rumour though.
