Why is battery life so bad on stock?

Was running Cloudy G3, unrooted and went back to stock for a bit. Why does the battery suck so bad? Don't remember it being this bad on Jelly Bean. Is it Kit Kat?

How long has it been? Swapping roms usually take at least a week for the phone to settle in and re-process all the data as you use it. That might just be a rumour though.

it's been about 3 days since I went back to stock.

I would factory default again... or at least use something like Wakelock Detector or GSAM to see what's sucking the battery, the ROM itself isn't the issue, it is stable and battery friendly on either KitKat or JellyBean, meaning you have a different issue.

try clearing out the partition cache

Tap Settings.
Tap General tab.
Tap Storage.
Wait for menu options to finish calculating.
Tap Cached data, then OK.
