I only seem to get that card if I click on the address to open a NAV screen before I connect to Android Auto. I wonder why.

I'm using JetAudio Plus. Some restrictions like above but I created several playlists which can be selected from the touchscreen.

I keep getting useless suggestions for locations I used days before. Shouldn't AA be suggesting locations that are attached to my upcoming calendar entries? It only seems to work if I open the map location on my phone before I get in the car.

The factory stereo in my 2011 GTI fried so instead of forking out to replace it I put in a pioneer 4100. Works great - actually wish I had done it sooner. Buying from Crutchfield made it simple - their Web site suggested everything I would need and I was able to do it myself in half a day...

I've had the same problem also. At first I thought it only drained when WiFi was left on but turns out not true. Sometimes it will sit idle all day and only use 2%, sometimes drains to dead overnight. I got so fed up I installed CyanogenMod 11 but its the same! Some hardware issue? I dunno...
