Non Google Play music on my Note 4 to play in Android Auto

I have a Note 4. When I use bluetooth on my car radio (Panasonic AVIC 8100NEX) it plays fine.
When I use Android Auto I can not see the music that resides on my phone.
My question is How can I resolve this challenge so I can play the music that is on my phone?

MDPlayer, but you may find that the nanny restrictions of AA kill the experience of anything local. This goes for Spotify too as local libraries can't be controlled through voice commands. Hate to say it but you're going to be better off disconnecting the phone from AA if dynamic control (via physical interaction) of local music is your thing. Big letdown in my opinion.

I'm using JetAudio Plus. Some restrictions like above but I created several playlists which can be selected from the touchscreen.
