Are you saying that the capability of my phone being on 5 GHz would stem from something on the router? I have several devices that are connected to our router via five gigahertz.

Thank you for the guidelink. I have done everything on that list already that is applicable. I'm unable to find any option in my phone that allows me to change from 2.4 to 5 gigahertz, but I know that my phone supports it so I'm not sure how to find that option.

I have actually registered, not sure why this post didn't come across as such.

I have a galaxy s8. My internet download speed is 45 to 55 on Google WiFi. My husband is 233, kiddo is 192. I am not tech savvy at all and I know this is fixable. I've tried to switch from 2.4 to 5ghz, but I cannot figure it out. Everything online is written back in 2016 or 2018 outdated...
