I don't think pulling down notification and reading the whatsapp msg will show you as online to the other person. Don't think you appear online until you actually open the app. I'm not 100% certain though. Love whatsapp btw. Android version of whatsapp is actually better than ios version, imo...

I've also got this issue. Maps and other apps pulling location work fine after a soft reset but after a while they stop working. Just hangs on waiting for location. I keep having to soft reset to bring back maps functionality. Really annoying. I think the problem began ever since I updated...
