I haven't had any issues with this. I went ahead and flashed the zip in the OP before I even booted it for the first time. Would rather deal with it now then later.

See so many of these. I am not saying people who don't know what they are doing should stay away. But everyone should read instructions very carefully when they are doing something that is new to them. And always, always, always make a nandroid backup before you make any changes in recovery...

Yeah I have a sprint tab that I bought brand new without ever having a contract and I got the update pushed to my phone. I don't think its even coming from sprint as I run my tab in airplane mode with wifi enabled and I got the update. On another note I took the OTA update from rooted Froyo...

Lets be fair to Samsung. The details of the wifi only model were available before you bought it. Its not Samsungs fault that you are unhappy with a product you bought without researching. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk

Although it is completely possible for our Tab to run Honeycomb, I doubt we will ever see it officially. They have released 2.3 for our Tab in Italy, I don't see why we COULDN'T get it officially some day, but I haven't heard any buzz about it.

But alas the SGT uses a Samsung Keyboard and not the Android Keyboard. It also has Swype pre-installed, but I find it awkward to use on my Tab, but you could try it. I personally installed GingerKeyboard on my Tab, same with both of my EVOs and my buddies Eris. So much better (IMO).

Looks like I am going to avoid anything to do with GB on my Sprint SGT until someone releases one specifically for CDMA or there is an official update.

Not that I can tell. Don't know what to tell you about the game, but for sure the Samsung App store is not available in the US.

From the searching I have done I have not been able to find anything news on an official update. It would probably come from Samsung though if it did happen.

Its possible that it was just a coincidence, I have looked everywhere after reading this and I can't find anyone who had this problem. You card may have just went kaput, and it just so happened to be when you installed the update.

Gah, I am at work and don't remember what .apk I got or where I got it from (lot of help I know). BUT I am able to enable it no problem. Do you have a problem enable the Swype keyboard? From your original post it looks like you are not long pressing in the text box to select the input you want.

I actually just bought my first Kindle book last night, but I didn't notice that. I am running stock un-rooted.
