I agree with you. Glad it happened so early on ... but just to be on the safe side, I'm not going to be intentionally putting it in water again. No real reason to anyway except for showing off.

They did. . . it was within the 14 days, and they all said that if it had water intrusion, it was defective anyway.

I was actually pretty fortunate that this happened within the 14 day Best Buy grace period. I wouldn't be surprised to see them changing the policies based what happened to me and on all of the information in this thread, (retailers, service providers, and Samsung).

Exactly! Thanks for the input all. I think I'll be saving the water exposure on my new one just for accidents.

Guys - the pressure on this faucet was not that strong. I want to stress that it's not like I held it to the end of a fire hose. This was a gentle, soft flow of water and I do not believe I did anything wrong here. Samsung should have known full well when they started advertising this feature...

It was, in my opinion, which is why it went back to Best Buy! They were great about it, btw. They said that shouldn't have happened and let me return it no questions asked. I would have let them replace it, but they weren't supposed to get any in the silver for a while.

Yep - you read the title right. I was showing off my water-resistant capabilities to my family by holding it under the faucet. Water ended up behind the lenses on both sides of the phone and under the LED. Could not take any pictures. Best Buy told me I should call Samsung, which I did...

Exact same experience here. I've been making selections on certain menus that I didn't mean to. Have not had that happen on any other Galaxy I've owned.

I would agree .... but man it looks like something is there. Driving me crazy. On a side note ... my S7e came with a small scratch between the camera lens and the LED on the back case. Trying to convince myself to forget it. :-\

Does anyone know if there is protective plastic over the lens and LED on the back of the phone? It looks like there is, and I've tried everything to get it off. Scared of scratching it if I try much harder.
