Had that problem with my S8. Solved: hold down icon until menu Window pops up. One of the choices should be clear badges. Select and exit. Should be gone.

I had the same issue. In order to fix it you have to determine which app is causing the problem. It's not always the most recent installed. In my case it was an older app that recently updated. This is how I tracked it down: 1 open Play store 2 Hit the menue icon, the horizontal lines at...
