Will there be a way for vehicles to update to the new Android Auto when it comes out?

I pre-ordered my S9+, so I've had it for as long as you can. Just recently, however, I've had rapid battery drain even though I've done nothing different on my phone. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

My phone has had the exact same problems since I the Nougat update. At times it has also gotten so bogged down as to become unusable, and I have to reboot. I've wiped the cache partition a few times, and that only works for a while. Luckily I have my S8+ being delivered in a few days.
