Seems kind of extreme to root both my old Evo 4G and my new Evo 3D, just to swap app data. Also seems extreme to pay $12.99 for a one-time use application. :/ Anything else?

Okay, got most stuff done. I'm having a problem with app data though. I use my phone for a lot of work-related stuff, so this absolutely has to get transferred to my new phone. I did this: ...on the old phone, but I'm realizing that only means the app data gets backed up to that phone's SD card...

So, I've just received the Evo 3D, and I want to migrate everything (I mean everything) from my Evo 4G. I've pretty much figured out everything I need to do, except: should I activate the new phone prior to beginning the migration? Thanks in advance.
