    [KERNEL][CM9][ICS] CAF-based 2.6.35 kernel for ICS-based roms

Thanks but that doesn't do what I need (no proxy settings). Anways, I tried this setup again from scratch and native tethering does in fact work as does FoxFi, awesome! So if my tethering woes were due to a bug in the kernel then it would only seem to rear its head in ICS roms and not GB... I'm...

    [how to]cm7 + cm9 + cm10

Re: [HOW TO]Perfect working CM7 So I'm not positive yet but it looks as though I may need to revert back to gb in order to get the full wi-fi tethering functionality that I need for work. Can anyone running this setup do me a huge favor and see if native tethering can be toggled on and off more...

    [KERNEL][CM9][ICS] CAF-based 2.6.35 kernel for ICS-based roms

Can anyone verify if they are able to get Wifi Tethering to work more than one session using this kernel? I originally thought it was only arjen's Piccolo rom that had the tether bug but I think that it is this kernel (and the kernel bundled with Piccolo) as it seems that any rom I run on this...

    [ROM][ICS][4.0.4] Piccolo

It seems as if this ROM is trying to keep too much in RAM, could be nothing in particular to this vs. any other ICS release--thrive is kinda a gimp compared to modern devices running ICS. I went into Developer Options and enable "Kill app back button." I think that lot of that stuff that pops up...

    [how to]cm7 + cm9 + cm10

Re: [HOW TO]Perfect working CM7 To correct myself, I didn't follow your instructions exactly as I didn't use a nightly, so perhaps that's why I was having battery issues? I calibrated and charged several cycles and it didn't get any better. I installed a "stable" release of CM7 hoping that I...

    [ROM][ICS][4.0.4] Piccolo

Re: [ROM][ICS][4.0.4] Piccolo - Update on Performance OK so after a few days of using this ROM on my thrive I am reporting back with results: Rom is still very stable, has not crashed or randomly restarted other than during the problem below. Battery life is still awesome. WiFi & Bluetooth...

    Jellybean, its allright.

Funny because I remember my battery life being phenominal on HC too... I thought my xoom was just getting old but come to think of it my battery life did dive sharply when I upgraded to ICS. I really like JB compared to ICS as far as interface and speed goes, but flash being as buggy as it is is...

[KERNEL][Gingerbread] CM 2.6.35 kernel for Thrive and Phoenix

Oh okay awesome, thanks for the info I'll check it out! I gave Piccolo a go and it's pretty awesome thus far. Day 2 and it is very robust and fast, and highly functional in spite of its minimalistic UI! Being ICS it looks gorgeous as well... now I'll probably never go back to GB either ;)...

    [ROM][ICS][4.0.4] Piccolo

Gotcha, thanks donovan! I just installed the ICS version posted on CM's google apps wiki: Latest Version/Google Apps - CyanogenMod Wiki and all is working great. Worth noting: battery charges very fast with this release and seems to last a long time. Scrolling through homescreens even with...

    [ROM][ICS][4.0.4] Piccolo

Arjen I just wanna thank you for this release, this is exactly what I've been looking for. Installed this with CWM 502 after doing a full system/dalvik/cache wipe then did old bb fix (thrive) and this beauty is FAST & CLEAN! I'll run this as long as it works well and get back if I find any bugs...

[KERNEL][Gingerbread] CM 2.6.35 kernel for Thrive and Phoenix

Thanks so much for the info, Bill! As far as the CM10 port, are you referring to the JB release posted by Oathkeeper? His first post on that release thread says that camera and headphones are not working, among other stuff, is this outdated information? I'd love to give it a go if that stuff's...

    [how to]cm7 + cm9 + cm10

Re: [HOW TO]Perfect working CM7 I am having strange battery issues with this setup. My phone seems to either charge extremely slowly or not at all when plugged in. It took me all day to realize that despite having my phone plugged in at my desk, and plugged in at home, the battery level was not...

[KERNEL][Gingerbread] CM 2.6.35 kernel for Thrive and Phoenix

Any recommendations for someone like myself who absolutely NEEDS USB mass storage? I plug my phone into my car stereo's USB port every time I drive and that's where my music is coming from, can I flash an older CM7 or use MIUI instead and still have the same stability plus USB mass storage...
