I'm using a theme called classic black ($1.99), if there is an impact on battery life due to it being a theme, it is negated and improved over stock by using less screen power.

It happens on the NON-edge S7 as well. I'd say 50% of the people on the EDGE S7 thread about the issue actually have a normal NON-edge S7. It just so happens that, that thread got "legs" fast and everyone, normal and EDGE owners, are posting in there.

Take it apart and have the bezel re-anodized black.....Kidding...

Not sure how it works on those phones with no button press, but I'd rather NOT have the phone constantly "looking" for a fingerprint. Does it use any battery when not in use?

Yes on my first S7, out of 4 cards, only an older 32gb class-10 card worked flawlessly. New replacement phone has been fine with a EVO+64gb, but I put on in ONCE, and don't plan on taking it out any time soon....In hindsight I should have opted for a 128gb.
