I have an S7 active and was able to peel up the plastic shatterproof layer off and replace with glass protector after it was scratched to hell. Do you know if it's possible to do the same to the s8 active?

Got my refurbished like new replacement yesterday. Not a scratch on it and included at&t stickers front and back. Fyi, possibly get a refurb for sending your in for warranty support.

Update, receiving a new unit from Samsung.

Just an update, Samsung is sending me a new S7 active! I don't know which part they didn't have but I sent it back for a new battery before warranty was expired. Now would be the time to file for warranty support and get a brand new phone!!

Interested in this phone but two things are deal breakers so far, ambient display and double tap to wake. I'm a fan of rooting for Xposed mods so I'd like to know if current owners have found satisfactory workarounds for these two "features", rooted or stock?

Camera seems on par with mxpe, little less sharp, especially when zooming.

Jeezus! So loud! Louder than any phone I've heard, N6, 6p, M8, axon 7, moto xpe. Bass is poor but still music is crisp and clear. Two notches down from max volume is good, max is too much! Any decent $30 Bluetooth speaker will beat it but damn!

Got mine usps today after requesting tracking info this morning, tracking, and discovering that it was waiting at post office. Pretty slick setup and phone. Camera is mediocre as expected but vr goggles are fun!

Why not try a Oneplus 3. I preordered a idol 4s and already returned the axon 7 to amazon. The OP3 is great and i may cancel the idol but at least wanted to try it out, easy and free return policy.
