What about wiping cache' that can be done without rooting...t-mobile actually suggests it. It will help improve some issues.

Seriously I had the phone for about four months now Andrade not seen any of the aforementioned issues except on rare occasions sense having to take a second. Seriously sounds like hardware failure not a brand failure.

I also made sure app had rw privileges in the file manager.

The t-mobile rep told me to purchase iPhone screenguards and cut them as the t-mobile ones are terrible (i agree)

Thnx for the explanation. I get it now after the fact but still seems ridiculous to me especially since I don't get 4g everywhere I go so why if I only have 2g available should I be wasting my high-speed (which doesn't run in Highspeed).

Although it may just be for me but even on 2g my phone still uses my allotted high-speed data plan (something I'm fighting t-mobile about). Thought I'd save for the rest of month so I switched to gsm only for a while and checked my plan and it said I've been using my high-speed.

Coming from the g1 (recharge twice a day) I actually like the battery life. Some of the ways I made it a little better is: use a CPU clocker (overclock/underclock app on rooted phone) to slightly lessen cycles when phones asleep, make autosync features sync less, dim screen when not needing it...

Personally I removed the phones taskiller and installed one of the market ones for same issue. Works great so far. The only caveat is when you go up to the task bar and click the memory widget it crashes to desktop but I don't need to click it with my taskkiller so not a big issue.
