I took the SIM out, cleared the data and cache from and then restarted Google services framework, then restarted the phone. After about the their time I pressed "check for update" it came through. Interestingly the first time I attempted it, I reinserted the SIM which cancelled the update and...

I ended up taking the SIM out, deleting the cache and data then force stopping the Google services framework then restarted the phone. Had to spam the update button a few times but it worked for me (unlocked Pixel 2XL in the UK).

I have a Pixel 2 for my own use and an iPhone 7 Plus through work, both on the same network. Without exception the Pixel has better reception than the iPhone, managing to connect to 4G when the fruity product can only achieve a 3G signal and sometimes no connection at all.

Thanks. Otherwise the screen looked fine, they had it next to an iPhone X and there wasn't much in it really with the Apple only coming out trumps thanks to it not juddering. Got a Pixel 2 already and loving it but finding the reduced screen size a bit limiting.

Both great devices but the LG exhibits a bit of lag and delay with the UI, opening apps etc. The U11 is the fastest phone I've ever used, iPhones, pixels and galaxies included.

Nope. The finger print sensor is almost instantaneous on mine.
