So the stupid new update took the nice sized messaging input bubble and reduced it to half the size to fit a bunch of icons on the left-hand side that I don't use anywhere near as often. I can swipe left to make it larger again but as soon as I sent a text it goes right back to the mini bubble...

Have you gone into Settings -> Display -> Home Screen -> Icon Shape and change the setting to original? That stopped the white borders for me. Not sure about your lockscreen pic question. Rev.

So far mine play all the time, have not had any issues at all with notification sounds not playing. I use a .ogg file I migrated over from my Samsung S5, though that shouldn't make any difference. Only had the phone two weeks though. Rev.

Confirmed here. I had HDR set to Auto when I checked on my device. Setting it to "On" turns off the ability to change flash in Auto mode. Good catch there MA2GA28 ;) Rev.

Simple enough :) But I plan to replace the Contacts icon in the app drawer since it does nothing different than the dialer really. The super weak cell signal affects all cell phones where we sit in my building.
