yes that is correct, it is an app from the market that turns my phone into a hotspot so to speak. thank you for your advice, it is much appreciated. Now..on to Google Play to get my order on!

Thanks for the fast reply, and i apologize in advance, so that does mean i will not be able to use my 3G coverage on this tablet via my phone from wi-fi tether or does that mean i can? Sorry just need to be clear before i pull the trigger on this tablet. Thank you again.

Engadget stated the Nexus 7 will not have WWAN connectivity so "your want to stay close to a hotspot". What exactly does this mean? For example if i have wi-fi tether on my phone, would I not be able to use that to connect to the nexus 7 so i could for example use my 3G coverage while riding...
