Engadget stated the Nexus 7 will not have WWAN connectivity so "your want to stay close to a hotspot". What exactly does this mean? For example if i have wi-fi tether on my phone, would I not be able to use that to connect to the nexus 7 so i could for example use my 3G coverage while riding in the car with my Nexus 7? This could be a deal breaker for me...any help is appreicated. Thank you!

Wireless WAN. That simply means it won't have a radio to connect to a wireless carrier like Verizon or Sprint.

You will have to be connected to a hotspot (mobile or fixed) whenever you wish to have Internet access.

Thanks for the fast reply, and i apologize in advance, so that does mean i will not be able to use my 3G coverage on this tablet via my phone from wi-fi tether or does that mean i can? Sorry just need to be clear before i pull the trigger on this tablet. Thank you again.

I don't generally use the term wifi tether, but I'm thinking it should be the same as making your phone a wifi hotspot correct?

The tablet should function the same as any other Android device that is made to connect with your phone via Wifi to gain Internet access.
