Agreed, is still a nice phone to use, is the only ' computer ' I have.. I also from time to time get 7+ hrs of screen on time, am in UK with a Exynos factory unlocked version.. Have turned my fast charging off, dunno if this makes a difference to the battery..I run it in full performence mode...

Have just updated my unlocked note 8 to pie & 1 UI, still finding my way round it all, seems the odd things have changed here and there. Some good lock things also.. But this evening I was cheating to friend on whatsapp ( voicecall ) but as soon as I pressed the home button the call...

I like some of the good lock updates and some don't seem to work properly, I can't seem to choose the type of clock for my lock screen..

I can't seem to disable bixby on pie, in the 3 dot menu the options aren't there anymore, can I not just force close it all in app settings..?

I have just updated to Pie, I'm in the UK and have an unlocked note 8, but have to go work now so not have chance to play with it yet..does anyone know if they are going to update the goodlock features, don't like having a permanent clock and battery icon in my notification bar..and will have to...

Am certain I've had sound coming out of my tv from dex connection..or maybe it's app related..unsure..

the uag citron is nice not too much added bulk, feels nice, but still nervy about the edges, so for the defender is back on..probably go with plasma in summer when less pockets..

I bought a generic hdmi cable for my note 8 and when connected it would reboot the phone every time..sent it back and bought the dex instead..much better..

just wanted to amend my post, have only let my note 8 die once thus far..as have only had it since october..

I tend to let my phone ' die ' periodically, and then give it a full charge over night..have already done so with the note 8 and kept my original battery in my note 3 for 4yrs and seem to only charge phone every other day.. Usually only plug charger in when it gets under 5%..
