Looks like safe mode didn't work. Can a defective pen really refuse to connect but still be used on the screen like this one? The slot was empty for the time in between me breaking my old pen and getting a new one, should I try cleaning the slot? How could I do that?

I had version 32 and uninstalled it for the version 25 you gave me. No dice.

That won't help. .air files are similar to Flash games although not the same as Flash. I want to open and play it. Also arbitrarily renaming files to .zip barely works.
