How were you able to successfully download this version? I can download it but it won't install. I'm not able to uninstall fb permanently from my Galaxy S6.
Has anyone figured out if it is possible to remove FB? I'm having sync issues with photos and the fix is to download an older version of FB. I can't because it's still on my phone, even when disabled. This is frustrating. Samsung needs to remedy this.
It won't install. It will download.
I'm not sure how the above posters were able to do it. I just read an article confirming that certain apps are preloaded on the new Galaxy 6s and Edges and cannnot actually be uninstalled - only disabled.
Believe it or not, my Samsung Galaxy S6 doesn't let me uninstall totally. I can uninstall updates, which only brings me back to version 35. From there, I can disable facebook, but not uninstall it completely. 27 won't download because of it.
Despite locating version 27, it's not allowing me to install in on my phone. I get no reason why other than "app not installed". The security permissions have been adjusted to accept a download not from the play store.
Yup. I am able to choose both "sync with contacts" and "continuous contact upload" within the app itself and "sync with your device" within the phone settings. The same happens. The facebook contacts are in my phone but their pictures do not come with them.
Tried using the "continuous contact upload" and it didn't work for me. My FB contacts are in my phone but I don't see their pics pop up when I'm texting or calling them.
I too do not have the "mark as default" option. My facebook contact photos are synced with contacts in the phone but it does not show up when using SMS/MMS. It's driving me nuts.
