Another Pre owner here. I hate that thing. Check g&e, AC, and engadget mobile just about constantly. It's obsessive. Cannot wait to get this baby. HP and Palm can blow me, they have no idea how to successfully run a smartphone company. I could do it better than them.

The webos community has gotten the Palm Pre up to 1 ghz, rock solid, that's coming from stock 500 mhz, and the chip being rated at 600 mhz. In fact, many Pre's are able to run at 1.2 ghz, though some of them are pretty unstable at that point. It's luck of the draw if your hardware can take that...

Don't get either of those phones. Both are outdated at this point. The Samsung Nexus S is available now, and the Evo 3d is coming out in the next month or two. I'd say wait for the Evo 3d, but either of those are going to be fantastic phones.
