BTW, you have the option of choosing the running apps layout style. When you double tap the home button to bring up the running apps screen, simply press the 3 dots on the top right corner and then press >settings>layout>grid view. That will give you the old style back. Posted via my HTC em $even

The standard messaging app is terrible. Try Textra, I've been using it for 2 yrs, and its amazing, very fast and lightweight with just enough options. With each update it keeps getting better. Posted by my HTC em seven

I also use Textra and the same thing happened to me. Uninstall the update to active notifications and reinstall. All should work after that. Posted via Motorola Motox

Mine has been doing this lately as well. So far around 3 times. This has never happened before. I also have Zedge and the setting is turned off to change the wallpaper. Zedge was recently updated, possibly a bug in the app? Posted via Motorola Motox

I just installed Nova Launcher Prime, recommended by Bandityo, thanks man, good call! It took care of all the lag and choppy transitions. Nova is very cool, takes away a lot of weirdness from the 4.4 update. Again, its too bad for a lot of people who don't know much about their phones and...

I think you may be right, unfortunately. I have the day off today, so I'll have some time to play around with the phone. I'll definitely look into Nova Launcher. At the moment 4.4 seem like a downgrade to me, in some areas. Its too bad that some people have to do " this and that" after update to...
