Facebook, WhatsApp Messenger, Instagram etc... I agree with @Bkdodger1, 16gigs just doesn't cut anymore.

Sometimes an app like WhatsApp can be moved to SD cards but it will keep it's cashed and running files on main storage. Honestly, I don't know how you've kept that phone running till now. Google and meta apps should and are it appears, eating that 16GB like there's no tomorrow.

An lg k10? Typically came with 16GB, possibly 32. Think they came with a SD slot.

Make sure they also support it on your plan, I know freedom likes to cut corners in certain places. You might want to call them though. If they do support it get them to reprovision it. Make sure you mention Wi-Fi calling.

As B.Diddy says a web app might work, that of course depends on whether or not you can find a browser that would work with kitcat. You could try XDA developers someone there might be working on a more modern OS for that but I wouldn't hold my breath.
