That, they were "free" and you were able to get them before the retail version was released. Beyond that I'm unaware of any advantages.

The biggest difference that I've heard of is that Sprint (Assurion) coveres loss, theft and water damage while Best Buy does not (maybe water damage...anyone?). Best Buy does seem to be cheaper though. With the Sprint coverage there's a $100 deductible too.

I searched the forum and couldn't find anything covering this. Is there any way to make it so that birthdays don't show up as events on the calendar? Not that I don't like knowing my friends' birthdays are coming up, but it's really cluttering the calendar.

Pretty impressed with the initial battery life too. Took it off the charger at 8 this morning. Moderate use all day, lots of texting, a few phone calls, downloading everything I can find and general fidgeting. Just plugged it in at 6pm and it wasn't empty yet. My pre would have been dead hours ago.
