I bought it from Google Canada. I expected it to have a tv schedule-like grid. I don't have the LIVE tab as this one. I installed a VPN, switched to servers from USA, no change. Could it be that the Canadian Google Chromecasts with TV don't have them?

I put it aside for 3 weeks, it took a few reset trials with the button and it finally went through and it is detected by my phone. I think that the firmware update crashed initially - it just froze for a like 45m.

I just got 2 new google chromecast 4k. Now I am stuck. On the screen, it only asks a password after I chose my network but offers no keyboard!!!! Initially google home on my phone saw it and asked for a QR. Now home can't even detect it. I tried to push and hold the button on the device...

I actually miss this; I had it on my S10, and it felt just a bit more premium. But true, the screen was more exposed to damage.

Apparently solved with Android 14 & Pixel 7. Was ok with Android 13 & others than Pixel (7 at least).

Finally convinced our IT to get me a Samsung S23! I don't need/ want an Ultra as I like them compact. The P7 dropping the signal on a daily basis really got on my nerves. For the record, I found in what context it happens, maybe this will help someone, although if it doesn't solve the issue...

I backed-up my old phone in the gdrive. I installed Google One on my tablet. I see the back-up I did 5 days ago. There is no Restore option whatsoever. I ckecked in the Settings and found nothing to help. This app is so frustrating...

My Samsung S5E tablet does not either .... I will buy a $25 chromecast.

My PC & laptop will detect and cast to my ROKU devices, but not my Android ones (P7 and tablet S5E) How can i make this work? I tried a few app found on Google Play (including Castify), no luck so far.

I see a lot of offers on Marketplace of affordable S23+ or even Ultra. Here, a S23 Ultra will command almost CA$2000 with the taxes. No thanks. But some of them are around CA$800, no tax. Here is an example (as a 512Gb version , would be CA$2175 with taxes)...
