My Nexus 4 fell out of my pocket. The front glass cracked in the top left corner and only the top half of the touch screen continued to work. I took it to a local shop and waited 20 minutes for it to be repaired.

iTunes to Google Music didn't work for me so I guess I'm stuck with MTP mode. Is that complicated?

I cracked mine after 2 days of use - but I don't have a picture. I got it fixed 2 days later because only half the screen sensed touch after that.

The perfect Nexus 5 to me would be to have LTE, a higher resolution camera and a bigger screen. I like the screen size of the Galaxy S4. Even a little smaller would be okay.
