go to setting, About phone, status, SIM status, check the signal strength, normally is -89 dBm 10 asu, if you have much different numbers maybe the antenna is disconnected....

Don´t blame lollipop, my nexus is not rooted, run on 5.1.1, battery last all day long (16 hours) with a screen time of +4 hours...

Hi! Updated a week ago to lollipop and no problem with battery life, disconnect at 8am. and by 11 pm. Still have a 20% of battery with almost 4 hours of screen use. Working on 3G, nova louncher and no rooted...

My Nexus 5 works just fine, no problems, all my apps works fine, improved battery life (4.5 hrs screen time). No factory reset or wipe partition cache yet....
