I twisted it before plugging it in. I already ordered a replacement charging port though, it's supposed to be a pretty easy fix. I just posted because I thought it was so weird how it seemed to ruin the cable I was using for it.

Yeah I scraped in there a good bit and used compressed air. I also don't see anything in there upon visual inspection, no debris and nothing looks bent.
