    xfinity mobile

A friend is thinking of porting over to Xfinity mobile. Can I ask you roughly how much your monthly bill is? Friend uses little monthly data and is convinced he would only pay ~$12. That can't be correct could it?

    Unlimited Data is back

Yep, for now with my Android 5.0 device and the new UDP plan the hotspot data usage is tracked only on the phone (SETTINGS> DATA USAGE> Android Tethering). I'm a FoxFi user and never checked to see if this Android Tethering was showing while I was using the old grandfathered UDP

    Unlimited Data is back

On my Android 5.0 device there is an app (in SETTINGS> DATA USAGE) called Android Tethering. I happen to use FoxFi but on my device this seems to be where hotspot data is tracked. I would prefer that the VZW website tracked the hotspot data separately but for now this is what is available...

Does FoxFi still work with Verizon Marshmallow update?

This app will stop working to provide wifi hotspot on devices running Android 7.0 (Nougat) and higher. The app relies on being able to place a trusted certificate on the users device. Nougat prevents this from happening. It does appear that the app can still be used to provide USB tethering in...

    FoxFi

No you don't need FF. The app was useful for people with older unlimited data plans that did not include tethering. BTW that app will no longer work once a device is on Android 7.0 or later.

    Verizon unlimited data

You will have to ask to be moved from your current plan to the new UDP. As of now the grandfathered UDP will continue as is.

    New Update?

I've installed this update on Jan 21st. The update does not interfere with FoxFi personal hotspot app
