SD does not drain battery, unless you are constantly using it, same as if you was constantly using the internal memory. I get insane battery time and I have over 70 gigs of files on my SD..

Good find.. I forgot I had Adaptive Display chosen. I never go to that option. Turning it off does dull the screen for everything including the gallery... Still gets blindingly bright for Wallet loyalty cards lol.
