I got a replacement for dust under the screen. It happened maybe a month after I got the phone. I noticed recently this newer phone has it now. sigh. Anyway, for the replacement I just worked with t-mobile's chat support. They just asked some basic questions, had me check for water damage...

When I use a book app (Kindle, Cool Reader, etc.) where I've turned the brightness down on the app to avoid straining my eyes, the auto brightness under Display settings disables and goes to full brightness. It might be just any app that adjusts the brightness turns off auto brightness. :confused:

I haven't had this issue for a couple of days now after changing the skin. And I shut my phone off and on every day for work. My widgets haven't had those weird lines running through them, either. If anyone's curious, it's on the HTC skin now.

I've been using the app QQPlayer for videos with no problems. Video recording is fine, too. Maybe your phone has a defect?

Yes, I've seen them running through Fancy Widget Pro. Removing and replacing it gets rid of the lines for me, rebooting the phone doesn't.
