I'm also having this problem. It sometimes adjusts to be too bright or too dim. The implementation is very poor.

Thanks for the suggestions. Actually this is a good workaround which I hadn't thought of. Thank you. I'm quite surprised coming to Android that I'm having to use these workarounds. I was always under the impression Android was super customizable. I guess I'm going to soon have to learn how to root.

This worked for me. Thanks for the suggestion. Now if someone can tell me how to get rid of the pop-up notification that comes with the edge notifications. I don't see an option to get rid of it.

I also use the BlackBerry Hub and it works great. I also got rid of the native Samsung text messaging app because it's garbage and downloaded the Google Android Messenger instead. Integrates nicely with the Hub.

I love the phone, specifically the camera and the screen. Battery life has been good too. But I wouldn't say it's a home run. For example, the speaker/speakerphone is terrible compared with my previous phone, the BB Passport. You'd think a $1k+ phone would have a much better speaker.

You can already disable both of those things without wasting money and bandwidth on this app.

The Contacts app is garbage, that's for sure. Mine has defaulted all phone numbers to Fax so when I go into a contact, that's the number that appears first. I have to click "see all" to view the work or mobile number. I have 1000+ contacts so if anyone has any suggestions, please don't let it be...

I can't stand it. What's worse, is they force you to sign in to a Samsung account and agree to all their B.S. terms and conditions in order to disable it. If they had any common decency, they'd allow the ability to disable the Bixby button without having to sign in to anything.

I got the 128 GB version within two weeks of signing in to my phone.
